Supporting people into work

Heart & Soul Care helps people find direction and purpose in life and through that, an occupation. Sometimes that’s the first job people have and we help them learn the skills they need or overcome anxieties or obstacles like low self esteem before they can begin this new job. At other times we assist people to overcome addictions or other forms of self abuse and get them back into paid work; delivery a valuable contribution to themselves and society.

Through educational programs, we assist people to gain hospitality and life skills including Vegan cooking, gardening, maintenance, grounds, conservation, marketing, yoga, meditation, awareness and art & crafts. We also provide moral guidance, counselling and referral services to people in distress due to unemployment, family crisis, drug related problems, health reasons, social and emotional adjustment problems.   We collaborate with Wollongong Homeless Hub, Wayside Chapel, Wesley Mission and the Redfern Aboriginal Community Centre.

We provide support to the NSW Community Correction Services, providing a supportive environment and vocational training to those engaged in court-ordered community service.
